2) According to NY Newsday, the Red Sox could make an offer to free agent P Billy Wagner today.

3) According to the Bergen Record, the Mets have increased their efforts to trade for Red Sox LF Manny Ramirez.

4) The Dodgers plan on asking the Cubs for permission to interview Grady Little for their managerial job. Little is currently a roving catcher instructor for the Cubs.
