1) The Pirates designated CF Tike Redman, INF Bobby Hill, OF Michael Restovich and minor league P Jeff Miller for assignment and added minor leaguers INFs Yurendell DeCaster, Javier Guzman, Craig Stansberry and P Josh Sharpless to the 40 man roster.
