4) On Saturday, Ray Boone died at the age of 81.

Boone played for 6 teams from 1948-60, with much of time being with the Indians Tigers. He had a .789 career OPS, compared to his league average of .742, and 102 RCAA in 1373 games. Boone finished in the top 10 in the AL twice, with 37 in 1953 and 38 in 1956.

5) Redsox manager Terry Francona says that, if there’s a Game 6 of the ALCS, Curt Schilling would be able to pitch.

6) According to the Washington Times, Bob Watson is the leading candidate to be the next Expos GM.
