Around the Majors: Ruhle has cancer

1) Reds pitching coach Vern Ruhle was diagnosed with cancer. There is no word on what type, other than he is expected to make a full recovery. Ruhle will still with the team on day to day basis.

3) According to the Kansas City Star, Royals P Zack Greinke left camp to dealt with emotional issues, while the Royals refuse to comment on the specifics, other than to say it’s not disciplinary problem, legal issue, injury, lack of desire to play baseball nor is it a matter involving another person.
