It’s an all-news week on Waiver Wire, with a bunch of recent signings and arbitration-avoidance deals to talk about. Carlos Ruiz and Bengie Molina step back behind the dish in Philly and San Fran, and Hunter Pence gets his payday from Houston, while Doug Davis returns to Milwaukee, and Pittsburgh gets a closer in Octavio Dotel. Check out our new Index, too!

We go hitter-heavy this week with our newsmakers, Dan Uggla and Adam LaRoche, and the latest 2009 Roto Countdown members Todd Helton and Tommy Hanson, plus reader request Drew Stubbs.

Two new signees, Aubrey Huff and Brett Myers, headline this week’s column, with reader request (and new Diamondback 2B) Kelly Johnson, while continuing to count down 2009’s top roto producers with the saber-reliable Adam Dunn and hot rookie arm J.A. Happ.

This week, we start our countdown of the top 2009 NL roto producers with two closers and two outfielders. During the countdown, I’ll also add on special requests (like this week’s Delwyn Young) or newsworthy players (like this week’s Matt Holliday).

Happy New Year from Waiver Wire! On the first day of 2010, we’ll look at “Where Did They Come From?” guys Garrett Jones and Randy Wells, “Where Did He Go?” Stephen Drew, and “When Will He Get Here?” Tim Alderson.

Waiver Wire Offseason doesn’t stop working, even on Christmas Day! For your gift, we continue with a trio of young outfielders: Dexter Fowler, Jordan Schafer and Andrew McCutchen.

This week’s offseason NL Waiver Wire looks at the SS good enough to make Milwaukee get rid of J.J. Hardy, the 3B good enough to make Colorado get rid of Garret Atkins, and another great young San Francisco pitcher.

We fast-forward a bit, in order to highlight more of the Graphical Player 2010. We’ll start the countdown—or, really, count-up—to the top NL roto producers of 2009. This week, we look at RBI stalwart Carlos Lee, the concussion-challenged David Wright, and young phenom Josh Johnson.

Catcher is one of the tightest positions in a fantasy team, so we look at two 2009 backstop disappointments, as well as the enigmatic pitcher Joe Blanton, to see how all three might perform in 2010.

It’s Brewerfest on the NL Waiver Wire, as we look at Milwaukee’s future in its biggest hitting prospect, its present with a struggling RF, and the past with a former All-Star pitcher.
