Dempster Injured; Not Serious

Ryan Dempster suffered a strained oblique in yesterday’s game against the White Sox. While in the Waiver Wire yesterday I mentioned Carlos Marmol as a potential future closer for the Cubs, it seems like Bob Howry will fill in this week while Dempster recovers. The injury doesn’t seem serious, but Howry could pick up a couple of saves before Dempster returns. He should be owned in all leagues until then. You can check out his peripherals below:

6.23 K/9
2.34 BB/9
2.67 K/BB
31.8% GB

Not great, but not horrendous either. He is capable of holding down the fort this week.
