Saarloos has a 5.24 ERA/-16 RSAA in 60 career games and pitched 6 shutout innings yesterday. 2) Nationals CF Brad Wilkerson hit for the cycle for the 2nd time in his career. After spending time in extended spring training, he'll play RF in AA. 5) Braves 2B Marcus Giles was diagnosed with a deep bone bruise in his knee. The team was revealed there is no apparent ligament or cartilage damage. The best case scenario is he can return in 3-4 days. 6) The Marlins claimed minor league OF Reggie Abercrombie off waivers from the Diamondbacks. 7) The Rockies claimed OF Michael Restovich off waivers from the Devil Rays. 8) Mariners P Bobby Madritsch had to leave yesterday's start, due to a shoulder injury. It was initially diagnosed as a strain and he will probably miss a minimum of 1 start. Madritsch has a 3.41 ERA/9 RSAA in 16 career games. 9) Devil Rays C Charles Johnson was given permission to leave the team for personal reasons. 10) The Rockies placed OF Dustan Mohr on the 15 day DL and called up OF Jorge Piedra. Mohr has a strained left calf. After 1 RCAA/.759 OPS and -11 RCAA/.714 OPS seasons, he hit .437 SLG, .394 OBA, .831 OPS, 6 RCAA in 117 games with the Giants. Mohr has a .753 career OPS, compared to his league average of .765, and -10 RCAA in 379 games. Piedra has -1 RCAA/.836 OPS in 39 career games.
