Marlins and Nats strike a deal

by Paul Singman
November 10, 2008

According to ESPN a second trade was agreed to today, this time between the Florida Marlins and Washington Nationals. The Nationals reportedly will receive Josh Willingham and Scott Olsen in exchange for Emilio Bonifacio and two minor league players Jake Smolinski and P.J. Dean.

As is the case with the Holliday trade, nothing is 100 percent official yet. Initial reactions say the Nats got the better end of this deal as this is another salary-dump trade for Florida.

Paul has been managing fantasy baseball teams for many seasons and writing for THT Fantasy over the past three years. He is currently a student at UPenn welcomes readers' thoughts at his email here or in the comments below.
