Outfield Arm Stats Updated

by John Walsh
February 05, 2009

We have recently updated our outfield arm stats through the 2008 season. Actually, it's more than an update, it's a true upgrade, since we now estimate park effects on outfield throwing. See here for our discussion of outfield throwing this past season. That piece has results for many outfielders, but now you can check out everybody on our stat pages, here. Player pages for outfielders also contain their throwing results. (Alex Rios did not make it into the article, but you should check his 2008 numbers. Unless you're one of the roughly 400 people who emailed me about leaving him out of the article.)

A big thanks goes to our tech-wizard Bryan Donovan who did the dirty work in making the stats available on the site.

John Walsh dabbles in baseball analysis in his spare time. He welcomes questions and comments via e-mail.
