It was a non-save situation, but I did mean to mention that… He took the loss in a tied game. Posted 06/14 at 09:52 AM

You don’t like Dillon Gee at home vs. Cincy tomorrow? Votto and Phillips are starting to do better, but Cincy is no Minnesota. Posted 06/14 at 10:30 AM

Vargas against the Giants? Ownership % too high? Posted 06/14 at 11:05 AM

Justin Masterson seems like a reasonable play at home vs Pittsburgh. I’d probably start him over Bass. IMO, Vargas isn’t that great of a start. Giants are stacked on the right side and Seattle isn’t scoring any runs. Posted 06/14 at 11:44 AM

I’m still baffled about the whole Alex Smith thing. The Alex Smith link is for a high A pitcher in the Yankees system. Alex White is listed as the Rockies starter for today. Posted 06/14 at 02:16 PM

ecp, I say again, I don’t run on all cylinders at 6:30 AM. I’m going to make some Alex Smith-type mistakes from time to time. Really, what’s the difference? One’s a mediocre QB and/or minor leaguer and one’s a mediocre SP. Ben, I’m torn about Gee, but it’s not a bad direction to go. I just hate starting guys against Votto, Phillips, and Bruce, even if the rest of the lineup is bland. Tim, Vargas’ ownership was too high. I assumed Masterson’s was too, but maybe that’s no longer the case. Posted 06/14 at 05:18 PM

“The readership has pronounced that the Twins’ offense is no longer one to stream against, so I’ll wait for the next time three of their guys are on the disabled list.” Haha, maybe that’s the ticket because you know it’s gonna happen. It could be that their pitching is so bad that it just makes you think that their offense sucks too, but the Twins are kinda bad ass with the bats so far when healthy. But now that we talked you out of it, you know how those things work out. Especially since Blanton has gotten blasted almost every time out the last month. Posted 06/14 at 07:32 PM

Kenley Jensen also blew the save, I believe…
