THT Daily: BCS hangover

by Bryan Tsao

Blue Jays top prospects - John Sickels continues his great work with his Blue Jays top 20. It's not pretty, if you're a Jays fan, but hey, at least the Canadian dollar is doing well.

Rocket could lose endorsements - Let me be the first to say that I'm not exactly a Roger Clemens fan—I still remember his Yankees coming back from 2-0 down in the ALDS against my A's. I also have no trouble believing that he juiced. But the fact that he could lose millions of dollars in endorsements on thanks to the flimsy "process" of the Mitchell Report represents everything that's wrong about the witch hunt mentality in the sport right now.

Bedard to Mariners talk alive - The guys over at Camden Chat muse about a rumored Erik Bedard for Adam Jones and other prospects deal. The guys at U.S.S. Mariner aren't as thrilled.

MLB unveils new clubhouse plan - In an attempt to battle steroids, MLB has implemented a series of clubhouse security regulations, from drug and background testing for attendants to less warning before drug tests. Most of these actually seem constructive, but I wonder if it will only serve to drive juicing underground. Which may in fact be all they really care about.

Roberts rumors - MLB Trade Rumors reports that the Cubs and Indians are interested in Orioles second baseman Brian Roberts. Where there's smoke, there's fire, and on the heels of the Bedard rumors, the Orioles might actually be rebuilding.

Wait till next year - With the offseason dragging on, Baseball American continues its system profiles with the Yankees.
