THT Daily: Fringe moves

by Bryan Tsao
February 01, 2008

On Prospecting - John Sickels chimes in on the value of multiple opinions.

Mariners sign Wilkerson - Seattle signed Brad Wilkerson to a one-year, $3 million deal. Derek Zumsteg breaks down the move over at USS Mariner and manages to do it without referencing ErikBedard. You're a better man than I, Derek. The guys at Lookout Landing responded similarly: "I don't hate the move."

Casey at the bat - The Red Sox signed first baseman Sean Casey to a one-year, $700,000 deal.

Yankees sign Ensberg - I always thought that Morgan Ensberg got a raw deal in Houston, and wish him will. Also, as a non-Yankees fan, looking at the list of their first base options is kind of inspiring.

Caribbean World Series - Those of you who can't want to get your fix of baseball should check out the Caribbean World Series, starting tomorrow.

Stages of Santana deprivation - Some Twins fans—well, one, at least—are starting to find a little silver lining.

Wikis! - I deal with far too many wikis in my professional life, but this one could be worthwhile: Tangotiger has started a sabermetric wiki on his site and needs our help to make it work.
