THT Daily: Games Begin

by Matthew Carruth
February 29, 2008

I'm sorry for the dearth of links today, but I cannot force news to happen and I am pretty adamanet about not making any sort of deal, much less a big one, over the first split squad games of the Spring. Yes, it's fabulous baseball is back; I spent a few hours yesterday with MLB.tv Audio on and a big goofy grin on my face just from having the old familiar rhythm of baseball back again, but I cannot even pretend that these games mean anything news-wise, unless there's an injury.

Clemens Contract Not Voided - Houston Astros owner Drayton McLane is not going to void Roger Clemens service contract with the team over the upcoming FBI investigation.

Rule Changes - There has been some minor rule changes, the only noticeable one (I use the term loosely) involving baserunning coaches.

Fantasy Forecasting - Here's one way to look for fantasy sleepers.

Johnson Returns - Randy Johnson is throwing off a mound again and Nick Johnson returns to the diamond after more than a year away.
