Each "up" bar is a victory and a "down" bar is a loss. There are horizontal lines for home games and red bars represent games decided by two runs or less. "PWins" is short for Projected Wins, based on each team’s Run Differential, and is often a better measure of a team’s true strength. Halladay prevailed with a 10-inning complete game victory, but Bonderman was just as good, giving up only one run in nine innings. Fernando Rodney lost the game when he gave up a run in the tenth on an infield single, two bunts and a sacrifice fly. Alexis Rios and Magglio Ordonez scored the only other runs early in the game, with a home run each. DETROIT (1) VS TORONTO (2) - FINAL IN 10 INNINGS

Gagne threw a scoreless ninth, striking out Ichiro Suzuki and inducing a double play ball from Adrian Beltre after a lead-off single by Ben Broussard. Gagne will continue to act as the Rangers' closer as long as he's healthy and productive. Randy Johnson allowed two earned runs in six innings for Triple-A Tucson on Friday. He allowed eight hits, walked one and struck out three. The possibility exists that Johnson will make one more rehab start. If not, he'll make his season debut Thursday against the Padres. Carlos Lee blasted three homers to drive in six runs against the Phillies on Friday. Lee starter with a solo homer off Phillies starter Brett Myers in the third, then added a grand slam off Myers in the fourth. The left fielder failed to reach base in his next two at-bats, then finished the game with a solo homer off reliever Ryan Madson. The three-homer game was Lee's first of his career. Barry Bonds was removed in the fourth inning of Friday's game just after hitting his second homer of the night. No word on an injury. The second homer gave San Francisco an 8-2 lead. Maybe the Giants didn't want him to break Hank Aaron's record on the road? Sure, he's still 19 away from setting the record, but with the way he was swinging tonight.. Carl Pavano was scratched from his start Saturday because of tightness in his forearm. Forearm isn't necessarily better than elbow in cases like these. The Yankees, though, seem hopeful that Pavano will avoid the DL. "I'm just going to give it a little extra time to get out of there," said Pavano, who threw long toss Tuesday and Wednesday. "It just didn't feel like it should feel. I'm not frustrated at all. It's just something I've got to deal with. That's just the way it is." Darrell Rasner will start in Pavano's place on Saturday. Pavano hopes to be ready to go on Tuesday. Dodgers activated shortstop Rafael Furcal from the 15-day disabled list. Furcal's return puts Juan Pierre into the second spot in the order and knocks Russell Martin down to sixth. Wilson Valdez was productive while Furcal was out, so he'll likely see time at third base over Wilson Betemit for now. Aramis Ramirez was diagnosed with right wrist tendinitis Friday and is listed as day-to-day. Sounds like the best-case scenario. However, since he's a Cub, the possibility still exists that he's hurt worse than the team knows. Ryan Theriot will fill in at third base while Ramirez is out. Blue Jays placed outfielder Reed Johnson on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to April 12, because of soreness in his back. The Jays opted to take the step even though they don't have the results back from his MRI today. With Troy Glaus also hurt, the Jays didn't want to play two men down. Matt Stairs is getting the start in left field tonight, but Adam Lind should receive most of the playing time created by Johnson's injury. Jason Jennings was diagnosed with tendinitis in the flexor muscle of his right elbow and scratched from his start Saturday. The Astros will move Woody Williams up from Sunday to Saturday. Wandy Rodriguez, who had his start pushed back after Wednesday's game was snowed out, will pitch Sunday. If Jennings isn't ready to go on Monday, Fernando Nieve could get the call in his place. Angels placed RHP Kelvim Escobar on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to April 9, due to right shoulder irritation. It's always something. What we don't get is what the Angels felt they had to gain from keeping it quiet. Hector Carrasco will start in Escobar's place on Saturday, but he'll likely return to the pen after the game. This should mean that Dustin Moseley will make at least one or two more starts before getting bumped by the return of either Escobar or Bartolo Colon. Access THT’s stats here…
