by Matthew Carruth
January 25, 2008

Santana Heading to Kansas City?! - Always awesome Joe Posnanski is fed up with the heavy hitters getting most of the play during the offseason and does his best to get the Royals more in the game.

Mariners Make Final Offers? - The Mariners, an active player in the starting pitcher trade sweepstakes might have made their final offers across the board.

Darkhorses - Dayn Perry lists four times he thinks could make noise in 2008. I'm not sure what noise he's talking about.

Shameless Plug - Amazin' Avenue reviews the Hardball Times 2008 Annual. I've heard it's good.

Young Weeks - DRaysBay opens a topic to revisit the 2003 draft wherein the Rays selected Delmon Young over the expected pick of Rickie Weeks.

Shields Locked Up - Staying in Tampa, James Shields four-to-seven year contract was finalized in what amounts to a tremendous deal for Tampa Bay.

Hard at the Top - Manager Bob Geren wants Rich Harden at the top of his rotation. Yeah, and I want a naked supermodel to show up at my door holding wads of euros.
