THT Daily: Spring Begins in Full

by Matthew Carruth
March 03, 2008

The Mind of a Catcher - Brandon Inge, who is transitioning back to catcher, offers a small insight on how being a catcher can consume you mentally.

Building From Scratch - What started as just a fun little look into outfield putouts generated a worthy explanation of defensive metric progress on Tango's part.

The Sith Lord Speaks - Baseball's resident is at it again with Jeffrey Loria saying that the Marlins will not be increasing payroll in the run up to their new stadium, but only afterwards.

A Fun Exercise - Jeff Sackmann takes a throwaway line from Will Carroll and runs with it, generating a team built from PECOTA's top comparable for each current Brewer.

Also in BrewTown - Prince Fielder is none too pleased with getting his contract auto-renewed. However, I doubt this has any lasting impact on Milwaukee's ability to sign him long term at some point in the next few years before he reaches free agent eligibility.
