Unexpectedly, the St. Louis Cardinals announced yesterday that starting third baseman Troy Glausunderwent right shoulder surgery on Wednesday. Initial reports had said that it was a debridement of his labrum, though it is now being reported that it was not the labrum - rather, it was a debridement of a muscle. He is expected to be out at least 12 weeks, but it could be longer.
