1) They aren’t spending like sailors, sailors don;t have that kinda loot after the first day. They’;re acting like the dear departed Boss. So, shouldn’t Cargo be next? While spending like a Steinbrenner one should choose like a Steinbrenner

How can you even knock the Rockies for spending big when A-Rod got the largest sports contract in history (twice) with the Yankees?

Not defending Tuck as it’s not needed but, the Yankees HAVE the money to throw away if they wish. When the Rocks get stuck with a bad contract like Todd Helton’s now,(no longer an everyday player but not injured badly enough to claim on insurance)it causes immediate impact on their ability to respond to needs. Restructring helps ease the immediate pain but hurts in the long term. I believe the Mets are still paying Bobby Bonilla.
I love Tulo but was there a need to give Tulo 10 now as opposed to waiting a couple of years? Just sayin . . .
