Yankees to sell Yes Network

by John Beamer
August 03, 2007

Forbes reports that the Yankees could be about to sell Yes Network to the highest bidder. So how much will Yes garner? Reports suggest the figure could be in the range from $3-3.5 billion.

Sheesh. That is a hefty price tag when you account for the fact that according to Forbes the Yankees themselves are only worth a shade over a billion bucks. Two conclusions can be drawn: (1) Yes Network generates a ton of profit, and (2) the Yankees are horrendously undervalued.
