A suggestion for the commissioner regarding home run No. 756

Posted by John Brattain
I know you’re very uncomfortable with Barry Bonds approaching the all-time MLB home run record. The indisputable evidence of whether Bonds used performance-enhancing anabolic substances hasn’t come to the fore, so you’re unsure of how, or if, you should commemorate the feat. Complicating matters is your relationship with Hank Aaron.

If I might offer a suggestion on how to handle this, you may wish to do the following…

... be in attendance for home run No. 755. After Bonds has hit it, go onto the field and declare the all-time home run record a tie and in the future, should anybody else hit 756 HR—this time it counts!

Best Regards

John
