Dunn in the Sun

Posted by Alex Eisenberg
Jim from AZ Snakepit looks at the D-backs' acquisition of Adam Dunn. On the face of it, this looks like an excellent deal for Arizona. Dunn's bat helps off-set the Dodger acquisition of Manny Ramirez. They get a big bat to put in the middle of their line-up and all they had to give up was Dallas Buck (a mid-level pitching prospect) and two other to-be-determined minor leaguers. Obviously we'll have to see just who the other two prospects are, but considering the help Dunn will provide Arizona down the stretch, plus the two draft picks Arizona will be provided should Dunn sign with another team after the season ends...it's tough to see how they don't come out winners when all is said and done.
