Five years later

Maybe this has already occurred to you folks, but I just found out that Barry Bonds, Sammy Sosa, Roger Clemens, Curt Schilling, Craig Biggio and Mike Piazza, (not to mention Kenny Lofton) are all likely to be first-timers on the Hall of Fame ballot at the same time. (Thanks, Billy Ball). If not for steroids, that ballot might have led to the largest BBWAA Hall of Fame class in history, larger than even the inaugural class of 1936. Of course, if not for steroids and its subsequent scandal, some of these players might not have retired at the same time.
