Surprise Face

Posted by Matthew Carruth
Prior's attempt at rehab over surgery to recover from the torn capsule in his right shoulder is over. Prior will undergo season-ending surgery. No confirmation yet on what this means for Prior in 2009 (or beyond) but being pessimistic is probably still too optimistic.

Sad. At least grabbing Greg Maddux and Randy Wolf has worked out terrifically from Kevin Towers. I cannot wait to see what prospects he nabs when he spins them off at the deadline; or sooner given the Padres current position in the standings. Might as well shop them early in the year, your trading partners should be willing to give up more in order to receive the benefit of the upgrade stretched out over a longer period.
