The 756 ball

Posted by John Beamer
Those of you who stood with interest in the bleachers of AT&T Park (or is that at&t now?) in an attempt to catch Barry Bonds' 756 may have noted the recent auction for said ball. The auction was won by fashion guru Marc Ecko in an intense bidding war that eventually concluded a little over $752,000. Marc is clearly a wag too for he set up a website to allow the general public to vote on the fate of the ball.

You can choose three options. One, send it to Cooperstown. Two, burn an asterisk in the ball and then mail it to the Hall. And three, launch it into outer space. Whichever option has garnered the most votes by September 25th will be enacted. Me? I voted for number two.

Vote here.
