The Newberg Report
Posted by Dave Studeman
You don't have to be a Rangers fan to enjoy reading the Newberg Report—it's full of good news all baseball fans can enjoy. In his latest Spring Training report, he positively glows about the Rangers' attack. Talking about Ian Kinsler, Newberg says...
In batting practice, he’s showing an ability to hit the ball to right center with tremendous authority, and I think we’re about to see a player about whom we should be thinking not about 30-30 but about 30-30-.300, a leadoff hitter whose power may make him even more dangerous than Craig Biggio. Yes, it's biased Ranger insight, but Jamey Newberg's perspectives are always worth reading.
Dave was called a "national treasure" by Rob Neyer. Seriously. Comments about this article can be sent to him through the miracle of e-mail.
