The Tigers are in first!

Posted by Matthew Namee
I actually find it rather annoying when people make tongue-in-cheek comments early in the season, which I just did. Still... it's reasonably amazing, is it not, that at the moment I'm writing this (8:50 PM Central time) the Detroit Tigers have the best record in baseball, 2-0?

Yes, within a few hours somebody will win and tie that record, but still, did you expect Detroit to win its first two games against a good Toronto team? I sure didn't. I don't think the Tigers will be this year's 2003 Royals, but it's gotta feel good to see "Detroit" at the top of the standings if you're a Tigers fan.
