Walk On

Posted by Aaron Gleeman
Bill Mueller will be out for 4-6 weeks following knee surgery, which means Kevin Youkilis (The Greek/Jewish God of Walks) should get an extended chance to show what he can do. Youkilis is a very intriguing offensive player, for reasons you all know about, but I think I'm more interested in seeing how he handles himself defensively. If he plays well on D, he could probably become Boston's third baseman for the rest of the decade.

There are, however, some (mostly the same scouting community that doesn't see him as much of a prospect) who think he won't be able to hand the hot corner in the majors. We'll see. So far so good offensively -- .318/.467/.500 with a homer and six walks in seven games.
