Win Shares Updated

THT's Win Shares have been updated through August 5th games. Carlos Beltran and Albert Pujols are tied for the National League lead, with 27 Win Shares and 19 WSAB, while Joe Mauer, Derek Jeter and Manny Ramirez are in a dead heat for the AL lead, with 22 Win Shares and 14 WSAB each.
According to Fangraphs, the WPA race isn't nearly as close. Pujols leads the majors at 6.5 WPA and David Ortiz leads the AL with 5.3. Don't forget that Win Shares credits players for fielding contributions and Fangraphs' WPA doesn't.
