Wind Patterns Impacting Yankee Stadium?
Posted by Joe Dimino
Interesting article from Accu-weather that could explain the home run barrage this weekend in the Bronx.
I realize it's just a 4-game sample, but at the same point, Bill James used to talk about 'signature significance'. Most HR ever in a first series at a new ballpark would seem like a situation where that might be applicable. Especially when there may be a logical reason for it, as described in the article.
Joe Dimino was an author with The Hardball Times who stopped writing several years ago due to real life taking up too much time, as well as the longest case of writer's block on record. He founded the The Hall of Merit. You can contact Joe by clicking here.
