Capuano has UCL tear


According to Dave Rouleau of Baseball Digest Daily, Chris Capuano has a tear of the ulnar collateral ligament in his left elbow. This is a pretty serious injury, as Dave documents in his post. Those of us hoping for a Capuano rebound will have to look elsewhere for pitching help.

Sox, A’s roll in Japan


The Red Sox and A's won their exhibition games against the Yomiuri Giants and the Hanshin Tigers by scores of 4-3 and 10-2, respectively. JD Drew and Donnie Murphy hit grand slams for the winning teams.

Eric J. Seidman reviews Geoff Young's Ducksnorts Annual. Unsurprisingly, he likes it a lot. Do yourself and the blogging world a favor and purchase the Ducksnorts Annual. It's good reading—even if you're not a Padres' fan—and it's for a good cause. The PDF version is less than $10.
