Preempting the Tide on Ichiro

It's June and Ichiro is still hitting under .300 on the year. Time for the annual crop of Ichiro is finished articles. Except they've always been wrong. One of these days they won't be, but it strikes me, and Jeff Sullivan of Lookout Landing, that when that day comes, we'll be able to spot it in underlying numbers. 2008 Ichiro looks the same as 207 Ichiro except for BABIP.

Bonds

Sabernomics thinks it worthwhile for the Braves to go after Barry Bonds if he truly is available for the league minimum.

As does Pinstripe Alley for the Yanks.

As does Joe Posnanski for the Royals.

Who said I could spell?

In my article on Tuesday I horrible misspelled Zack Greinke's name throughout the entire article. In my defense I grabbed the spelling from another website but failed to check it against my own player card which had the correct spelling. This is inexcusable by me and won't happen again. Sorry for the confusion and thanks to a reader for pointing the error out.
