Closers in non-saves

Posted by Dave Studeman
Over at Statistically Speaking, Eric Seidman takes a look at one of those things I always hear: closers perform worse in non-save situations. Bring Cuban to the Cubs

Posted by Dave Studeman
Do you want the Lords of Baseball to allow Mark Cuban into the club? If so, you can now do something about it. Just drop by the Bring Cuban to the Cubs website and put your money where you mouth is. BCC is collecting pledges from interested parties. If Cuban is allowed to buy the Cubs, all of the donations will go to the Jackie Robinson Foundation. If not, the pledges will be untouched.

Will Bud Selig and buddies turn down money for one of their favorite causes to keep Cuban out of the major leagues?
