The Mariners have signed Kenji Johjima to a three-year extension. Words alone cannot describe how dumb this is, but I'll try. Seattle's best prospect is a lefty-hitting catcher currently mashing in Triple-A, Johjima would likely garner Type A status and would be Type B at worst and he turns 32 in about six weeks. This is... I just... Ugh.
