Dave Cameron has a few notes on K-Rod's record-setting save pace, including the fact that he isn't racking up many cheap saves. His Leverage Index is over 2.5, which means he's being put in a lot of tough situations. But, as noted in the comments, his pitching basics (strikeouts and walks) are down quite a bit.
