THT's Batted Ball Report, and the THT Annual 2010
Are you looking for a little more from your baseball stats? Would you like to see stats that are a blend of performance and scouting information, stats that will give you easy insight you can't get from other stats? If so, we've got something you'll like: THT's weekly Batted Ball Report. Every week during the 2009 season, we will publish our patented Hardball Times Batted Ball Report. The Report will be based on the batted ball stats of all major league players—the kind you can find in the Hardball Times Annual—written by THT's Dave Studeman. You'll be able to download the report, in PDF format, right here on the THT website. We'll also post periodic batted ball stats for all major league players. Click here to download a free copy of the first Batted Ball Report. THT's batted ball stats are a unique combination of statistics and scouting information, and you'll learn things you can't learn about players anywhere else. If you'd like to see some online samples of the type of information that will be included in the Batted Ball Reports, take a gander at the 2005 batted ball stats at Baseball Graphs or check out one of the Hardball Times articles Dave has written on the subject:
Once you purchase the THT Batted Ball Report service, you'll be able to access each week's report by just logging into the Batted Ball Report page and downloading the file. We'll keep the full year's history of files available too, so you can track the progress or your favorite team or players. That's only half of our deal, however. If you purchase the Batted Ball Reports, you'll also receive the Hardball Times Annual 2010 when it's published in late November. This year's Annual will be just like last year's, including articles from some of the best-known baseball writers anywhere and a wealth of statistics including, ahem, batted ball stats. There are other benefits from purchasing the Annual in this package. The Annual will be shipped to you as soon as it's off the presses. That means you'll receive it one or two weeks before Amazon would get it to you, and about a month before you might buy it at bookstores. There's also the superb customer service offered by ACTA Sports. There will be two other e-mail perks. On a daily basis, you'll receive the Rundown from HEATER magazine, laying out all of the previous day's boxscores. And you'll also be eligible to sign up for the Bill James Daily Matchups for your favorite team. The Annual retails for $21.95, and shipping costs usually run about $7 in the US of A, so we're talking about a $29 value here. But you'll get the Annual and all of the weekly Batted Ball Reports for a mere $5 more: $34 in total. If you live in Canada, shipping costs are higher, so we offer the same deal for $39. We can't make you this offer if you live outside USA or Canada, but if you would like to purchase just the Batted Ball Reports, please drop Dave an e-mail. Allow me to recap. You'll receive ...
...all for a total of $34. Unfortunately, we are closed for the offseason. Other batted ball references:
