  • If you live in Chicago, you have to try @DarkMatter2521 coffee. It's as good as intelligensia. (May 26)

  • @blak3ly Then drop Kuroda. I like Dunn a lot, though. Wainwright's the better option over Beachy IMO (May 26)

  • Lateral move IMO, but I am a shameless believer in Bedard. Like JMD too @Matt_Warden Bedard for James McDonald? (May 26)

Alexi called up

Posted by Paul Singman at 11:45am

Alexi Casilla will take over as the Twins starting second baseman while Nick Punto is on the DL with a strained groin. Casilla is worth a flier in AL-Leagues only as most likely he will be sent down to Triple-A upon Punto's return in the minimum 15 days. If Casilla does play well, however, he could steal the job from Punto, who was hitting just .187 with zero home runs before getting hurt.

Casilla was not any better in the majors earlier this season, batting a laughable .167/.231/.202 before getting sent down. His defense and hustle are also concerns, the Twins say.
