Protest - Some fans are not happy that Barry Bonds is breaking Hank Aaron's home run record. Notably Braves fans. Some of them are organizing an interesting protest to the accomplishment.

Everything I Know About the Pirates I Learned From Bucs Dugout - Talk about beating a dead horse, but the Pirates, along with a handful of other teams, really, really need a complete management turnover for the good of baseball.

Jennings' Trade Value: "Ouch" - Two-thirds of an inning, 11 runs yielded. That's not going to help you net more value on the trade market for Jason Jennings.

Bill Robinson Dies - Bill Robinson, former player and coach, died Sunday. Robinson was 64.

Taxing the Record - According to the Wall Street Journal, the fan who catches Barry Bonds' 756th home run ball could be eligible to be taxed on it immediately with an expected value of $500,000. It sure would be ironic if an IRS employee was the fan to catch it.

Tigers placed LHP Kenny Rogers on the 15-day disabled list with left elbow inflammation. The Tigers are hoping Rogers, who struggled his last three times out, will miss just two starts. This isn't related to his March surgery to remove a blood clot from his shoulder, though it's possible he tried to do too much too quickly while coming back. Jordan Tata will replace him in the rotation and start Monday.

While the Diamondbacks have made an offer for Mark Teixeira, it's not as strong as others the Rangers have received, according to FOXSports.com's Ken Rosenthal. Conor Jackson was probably involved, as there'd be nowhere for him to play in Arizona if Teixeira came to town. The Diamondbacks could also have moved pitching prospects like Brett Anderson, Micah Owings or Brooks Brown. However, unless Tony Pena counts, they don't have any particularly outstanding young arms to put in play. Teixeira appears likely to go to the Braves if he's dealt.

Matt Harrison has been removed from the Braves' Mark Teixeira proposal after being shut down with shoulder tendinits. Says FOXSports.com's Ken Rosenthal, the Braves are still offering Jarrod Saltalamacchia and Elvis Andrus for Teixeira, and they gave the Rangers a list of young pitchers to consider as Harrison's replacement. Jo-Jo Reyes isn't on said list, though he might yet be in play if Eric Gagne or C.J. Wilson is included along with Teixeira. The Braves and Angels have submitted the best proposals for Teixeira. Now it's up to the Rangers to pick one or decide they're better off keeping him.

Standings
The graphics next to each team are called "sparklines.” They depict each team’s performance over the last month. Each "up" bar is a victory and a "down" bar is a loss. There are horizontal lines for home games and red bars represent games decided by two runs or less. "PWins" is short for Projected Wins, based on each team’s Run Differential, and is often a better measure of a team’s true strength. Other team graphs and stats can be found on our Team Page.

Game of the Day
The Mariners managed to keep some heat on Los Angeles of Anaheim by beating the Athletics 14-10. Down 10-7 in the seventh, the Mariners scored three to tie the game and four more in the bottom of the eighth to put it away. Ben Broussard supplied a couple of key hits, including a game-tying two-run home run in the seventh.

Meanwhile, the Angels completed an impressive three-game sweep of the Tigers.
