Brad Hawpe suffered a possible concussion when a throw from Padres catcher Nick Hundley hit him in the back of the neck Monday.
Seth Smith and Ian Stewart would stand to benefit most if Hawpe lands on the disabled list. Matt Murton could be recalled, but he probably won't have any fantasy value.

Dexter Fowler swiped five of the Rockies' nine bases Monday in a 12-7 victory over the Padres.
Against the Padres, of course. Against Chris Young, of course. If Fowler was going to start one game all month, this had to be it. He ended up going 2-for-4 with two walks and three runs scored. All nine of the Padres' steals came in the first four innings while Young was in the game. Fowler entered with four steals in five attempts this season.

Brad Lidge was held out of a save situation Monday due to right knee inflammation.
So he has been pitching hurt, but the good news is that it isn't his arm. The Phillies admitted that Lidge had an MRI a week ago, but they said it showed no structural damage. Lidge is considered day-to-day. Ryan Madson picked up a save in his place tonight.

Jason Bay broke a scoreless tie with a three-run homer off Kerry Wood in the top of the ninth as the Red Sox won their 11th straight game Monday against the Indians.
Bay had already singled twice in the contest before launching one off Wood. The Indians came back with one run in the ninth off Jonathan Papelbon, but Boston held on to win 3-1, giving the team its longest winning streak since 2006. Bay has nine RBI in his last four games. He’s hit .306/.408/.571 with 14 homers and 56 RBI in 68 games as a member of the Red Sox.

Hanley Ramirez's x-ray's revealed no broken bones in his hand, according to the Miami Herald.
Ramirez owners can now breathe. Ramirez left Monday's game after being hit by a John Maine pitch and is likely day-to-day.

Carlos Delgado was a late scratch from Monday's lineup after he "aggravated his hip when he was sliding on a triple", Mets manager Jerry Manuel told the New York Post.
This one bears watching- Delgado has injured his hip before. For Monday, Fernando Tatis, who had been scheduled to start at second base, slides over to first, while Luis Castillo gets the start at second base.

Standings

The graphics next to each team are called "sparklines.” They depict each team’s performance over the last month. Each "up" bar is a victory and a "down" bar is a loss. There are horizontal lines for home games and red bars represent games decided by two runs or less. "PWins" is short for Projected Wins, based on each team’s Run Differential, and is often a better measure of a team’s true strength. Other team graphs and stats can be found on our Team Page.
