Checking out early today

Because I have some other stuff to do that, you know, might help me feed my family and stuff, we're looking at a truncated posting schedule today. If this is troubling to you and you happen to own a commercial media company willing to pay a handsome sum for virtually unlimited and uninterrupted blogging, please feel free to send an email to my attention and I'll see about rearranging my schedule. If this is troubling to you and you do not happen to own a commercial media company willing to pay a handsome sum for virtually unlimited and uninterrupted blogging, I offer you my sincerest apologies.

In any event, unless something big happens (like, say, the A's move back to Philadelphia and sign Chief Bender to a 4/$60M deal) this is probably the last you'll hear from me today.

Last I heard, the A’s were only at 3/ $42m for Bender… and he was also considering the Indians.

After Penny and Smoltz, shouldn’t the Sox be in on Bender at this point?  You can never have too much pitching.

After a cautious view of my mutual funds, I’m considering my own brand of a Bender….

I’ll pay $8 per month for a Shysterball subscription if you’ll ditch the lawyerin.

Pete:  I appreciate that.  If you can persuade, like, 1,000 other people to pay that I’d turn in my law license tomorrow.  My sense, however, is that the reader attrition rate gets pretty darn high the moment the price of one’s words—however pretty—exceeds free.

You stop blogging for a day to get a job to support your family. I stop blogging for a day to get UK basketball tickets. Get your priorities straight man.
