Thursday, January 15, 2009Curb Alert: fat centerfielderAndruw Jones is about to be released. I wouldn't bet my belly button lint that the Braves won't sign him to a veteran minimum deal within the next week or so.Posted by Craig Calcaterra at 4:13pm Comments

Then please put Chipper back in LF. That’s an outfield I want to see. I would pay to see that. Posted 01/15 at 07:44 PM

Braves fans need not worry. Dayton Moore just found a target more enticing than Jeff Francouer to add to his wish list. Posted 01/16 at 02:31 PM

Nick… JF-K will wind up being a Royal one way or another. I’m only praying that by some twist of fate the final result means Greinke becomes a Brave. Posted 01/16 at 02:45 PM

Timmy - If there is ever a transaction that involves Greinke leaving for Frenchy, that will be the day my Royals Fan Club Membership expires for good. Posted 01/16 at 02:48 PM

Here’s a question: Will the Braves have the stones to cut him when they realize, in May or so, that he’s a waste of a roster spot that they can’t justify keeping around anymore? Posted 01/16 at 04:17 PM

Cut him? They once gave him 660 PAs when he was batting .222 (and gave Francoeur 652 for .239). He could hit, oh I don’t know, .158 and they still wouldn’t cut him… Posted 01/16 at 04:52 PM

Honestly, I’m still waiting for the Griffey to the Braves announcement. Maybe, we can get both. Wouldn’t that be great?
