Thursday, October 15, 2009Killing time until 8:07 tonightWith a question raised in a St. Louis Post-Dispatch mailbag: if you were the Cardinals, would you trade Albert Pujols for Clayton Kershaw and Matt Kemp? No, no one is really suggesting it. It's more of a "would you rather . . ." kind of game. And for the record, my usual answers to these things are Veronica over Betty; Betty over Wilma; Bailey over Jennifer; and Mary Ann over Ginger. It’s a purely physical thing. I like brunettes. I’m sure Betty is better marriage material, but I’m already married, if you see what I’m sayin’ here . . . Posted 10/15 at 03:50 PM

Gabrielle. In that instance, my fear of Lucy Lawless trumps my normal preference for brunettes. Posted 10/15 at 04:18 PM

Over on the left coast game’s on at 5, and it still seems to far off for me. Posted 10/15 at 04:30 PM

I go Jennifer over Bailey myself. Maybe its just receptionist > intern (or whatever you call Bailey’s job)... Posted 10/15 at 04:32 PM

Oh no, Bailey over Jennifer, and it’s not even close. Never thought extensively about Veronica/Betty, but I’d probably lean Veronica as well. And, of course, Mary Ann over Ginger. As for Wilma/Betty, I’d probably give it a pass altogether and have another drink. Posted 10/15 at 04:42 PM

Bailey for the repressed sexuality that you would think overflow once given the chance, but don’t underestimate Jennifer—she wasn’t a dumb blonde ... I personally prefer Bailey, but that is the closest of the four. So with you on Veronica! Posted 10/15 at 04:58 PM

The problem I see with Veronica is just that she’s too obvious. Same with Jennifer - it’s not that I think she’s a dumb blonde, it that I think she’s too much the trite cliche. Of course, to turn the discussion back to baseball, that’s my problem with the Yankees: Too much the obvious trite cliche! Posted 10/15 at 05:04 PM

How about a more recent show: Jackie, Donna, or Eric’s Sister? Posted 10/15 at 05:22 PM

Probably Jackie. She may be a spoiled brat but Donna is a little too “Lumberjack” and Eric’s sister is a controlling little *bleep* to say the least. Posted 10/15 at 05:53 PM

Veronica over Betty? Really? You’re the first I’ve heard say that.
The others are no-brainers.
