My Morning in Exile
Fun NBC fact: Nicholas Colasanto, the guy who played the character Coach on "Cheers," was also a television director. He did episodes of "Ironsides," "Columbo," and "The Misadventures of Sherriff Lobo." He did a couple episodes of "Bonanza" too. The more you know . . .
I expanded on yesterday's item about the statistical evidence against the A-Rod pitch-tipping allegations.
Yesterday wasn't the first time that a manager's blunder cost the team the DH, and at least once a manager used a pitcher as a DH on purpose.
Randy Johnson is limping his way to 300.
No Mookie? No way!
Finally, I'm about 85% in favor of the earlier World Series start times.
