That said, I give credit where credit is due, and I have to laud President Bush for:1. Throwing the best "first pitch" of any chief executive in my lifetime at Game 3 of the 2001 World Series; and 2. Showing some nifty reflexes when a fireballin' righty tried to brush him back yesterday. Sure, President Biggio would have leaned into that pitch, but those are still some pretty good reflexes. President Milton Bradley would have charged him or anyone who commented on the incident in a manner he felt was disrespectful. President Robin Ventura would have gotten some great knuggies. Posted 12/15 at 10:41 AM

President Kyle Farnsworth would have thrown a shoe back at him, missed by 4 feet, then speared him. Posted 12/15 at 02:23 PM

Do I detect just a slight smile from the President after ducking Shoe #1, as if Pres Bush is amused by this particular assassination attempt? If so, that’s terrific. Posted 12/15 at 06:12 PM
