Whenever.Tuesday, July 28, 2009The AP wants to charge me for this?!So I'm reading the AP game story from the Phillies-Diamondbacks game last night, and I come across this sentence:Jamie Moyer allowed seven baserunners before recording an out in the third inning. Somehow, none of them scored. Upon reading it, I had to go back to the play-by-play to see just how Moyer got out of such an impossible sounding jam. I wasn't the only one. According to that, I imagine that the Diamondbacks must have been using Zap Branigan logic to solve their run scoring dilemma: “Killbots have a preset kill limit, knowing this, I sent wave after wave after wave of men at them. Apparently you’re one of those folks who wants value for the money you spend.
And by the way, who would you be to expect the AP to be able to emply folks who could write and edit coherent sentences that accurately described what actually occurred. Oh yeah, just a paying customer who may have an expectation of clarity of thought based on factual information and knowledge of subject.
Again, the AP may want to be careful about what it is asking for.
