Today at THT

Things to think about as you stand upon a railroad bridge in northern Alabama, looking down into the swift water twenty feet below:

  • Evan Brunell checks out the paucity of transactions last week. For cryin' out loud, why can't they put Christmas in June so there's at least some baseball going on?

  • Over at Fantasy Focus, Paul Singman runs Adrian Beltre through the Consistency Meter. Beltre was then scanned for Thetans, and was found to be at Operating Level IV, which means that Tom Cruise takes his calls.

  • Hold on babies, the holidays will soon be over and before you know it, some actual baseball will happen again.

Thanks for the lit-love, Craig. In other only tangentially baseball-related news, I just decided to teach August Wilson’s “Fences” in my Intro to Lit class next semester.  I’m considering making them read a Joe Poz post about the Negro Leagues as supplemental material.

I’d throw in a smiley here, but I don’t like the graphic…consider yourselves smirked at)

I read and then saw a performance of “Fences” as part of a theater class at Ohio State, oh, 14 or 15 years ago.  Loved it.  Great call on the assignment.
