Today at THT

Things to read while wondering if there are any news stories that the media won't link to the bad economy these days:

  • Josh Kalk looks at the "young guns" who could play a big role in 2009. Will they come through, or will they be shot down in a blaze of glory?

  • Steve Treder gets sadistic with the 1965-68 Washington Senators.

  • Over at Fantasy Focus, Eriq Gardner looks at the so-called "gambler's fallacy" as it relates to fantasy baseball. But let's leave Pete Rose out of this.

  • Finally, Paul Singman talks about the settings he does and does not like in a fantasy league. I don't know about you, but I like leagues that go to 11. It's one better, isn't it? It's not ten. You see, most blokes, you know, will be playing at ten. You're on ten here, all the way up, all the way up, all the way up, you're on ten. Where can you go from there? Where?

  • After the season gets going, I'm going to write an article in which I link an increase in sacrifice bunts or something to the bad economy and see if I can get anyone to run with it. I bet I can.
