Today at THT

Things to read while thanking heaven above that you weren't jailed for contempt of court yesterday afternoon:

  • Sal Baxamusa has five questions about the A's. Question number six: if they go to San Jose, will they still consider my idea to rename themselves the "East Bay A's," despite the fact that it won't really be accurate any more?"


  • John Walsh has five questions about the Mets. Question number six: Do you realize how many more people would love you if you would simply eliminate black from the team's color scheme?


  • John Brattain examines the progression of weirdness in Alex Rodriguez's life and suggests that the influence of Scott Boras is to blame. Maybe. But I can't help but think that Rodriguez would have grown into being weird no matter who or what was influencing him. Some people are just wired that way, ya know?


  • Over at Fantasy Focus, Derek Carty plays doctor. Caught the neighbor kids doing that over at the playground the other day and I had to tell their parents. It was supremely awkward.


  • Finally, a Fantasy Focus mailbag. The Fantasy guys would like to do these more often, but it's very hard sifting through the thousands and thousands of women's photos, love letters, and marriage proposals they get sent in order to find legitimate fantasy questions.


    • And no, for the record, I was not out of order. He was out of order. The whole COURT was out of order.
