Wright’s helmet on its way to Cooperstown

I refuse to join the parade of people making fun of David Wright's helmet. The guy is just getting over a serious beaning. He could wear the hollowed-out case to an upright pedal piano on his melon and I'd be cool with it.

And besides, unlike all of you haters, it's going to the Hall of Fame.

(thanks to Melissa D for the, um, heads up)

“Wright already has a bat on display in Cooperstown, the one he used for the walk-off single that powered Team U.S.A over Puerto Rico in the World Baseball Classic this spring.”

Makes you wonder what would go to Cooperstown if Team USA had won on a walk-off hit-by-pitch….
