The graphics next to each team are called “sparklines.” They depict each team’s performance over the last month. Each “up” bar is a victory and a “down” bar is a loss. There are horizontal lines for home games and gray bars represent games decided by two runs or less. Other team graphs and stats can be found on our Team Page.

Game of the Day

The Pirates came back twice in the ninth inning to beat the Brewers 4-3 and sweep their four-game series. The red-hot Jose Castillo thought he had won the game with a two-run homer in the ninth, but the umpires called the players back onto the field after conferring and ruling it a double. Ryan Doumit subsequently singled in Castillo to win the game.
