A tribute to Hank Aaron

Over at Baseball Prospectus, Dayn Perry has a nice piece on his admiration for Hank Aaron. It’s “Premium” content, but if you’re a subscriber, definitely check it out.

Dayn talks about a ’68 Topps card of Aaron that he has especially cherished since his childhood. One of my favorite baseball cards as a kid was also an Aaron card — the 1975 Topps card that commemorated Aaron’s 715th home run. In elementary school, I talked some other kid into trading that card to me in exchange for a pile of Damaso Garcias or something. Best deal I ever made.
